NFI, NWAA, NAA: DNR Decision Against Cooke Aquaculture “Ignores Enormous Body of Science”
National Fisheries Institute, Northwest Aquaculture Alliance, and the National Aquaculture Association are refuting claims made by Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz not to renew Cooke Aquaculture's leases on Monday.
All three are calling for an independent review of DNR’s decision by one or more third parties such as the University of Washington School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences.
