US-Ecuador Reciprocal Trade Agreement Nears Signing; Tariff Relief Could Cover About Half of Exports

Ecuador and the United States are nearing a Reciprocal Trade Agreement (ART) that would exempt roughly half of Ecuador's exports from tariffs, according to statements by Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa last week.
In a radio interview, Noboa said a deal would be signed “in a few days” that would remove additional tariffs on 50% of Ecuador’s exports.
