Mexico Establishes Temporary Ban on Commercial Tuna Fishing in the Pacific Ocean

The Mexican government announced a temporary ban on commercial fishing of several tuna species in the Pacific Ocean. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER) officially issued this restriction, published in the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF) on June 23, 2025, which will be in effect during the years 2025 and 2026.
