Hokkaido’s Q1 Surimi Output Exceeds Last Year by 3.5%

Hokkaido's frozen surimi production volume for January to May 2025 exceeded the previous year's total, the lowest in recent years. According to a tally of member reports by the National Surimi Association (Abashiri, Hokkaido), through April, it was 2,262 tons, up 35% from the same period last year, of which Alaska pollock was up 47% to 2,151 tons, and Atka mackerel was down 95% to 3 tons.
