Despite Russia’s recent efforts to combat poaching over the last few years, the issue continues to pose serious problems for the fishing sector. In response to this, Russia is actively tightening its fight against poaching with increased enforcement operations.
Part of Rosrybolovstvo’s plans involves increasing the number of permanent raids in order to identify poachers, impose further detentions, and initiate enforcement proceedings.
