Chile's Small-Scale Fishers Win Big in Landmark Quota Redistribution Law

The Chilean government announced significant changes to its fisheries law, which will create updated fishing quotas for the industrial and artisanal sectors, with a larger share going to artisanal fishers.
According to a notice from Chile’s congress, the new quota laws impacted the fisheries of anchovy, sardines and hake.
