Japan: August Scallop Exports Declined for Two Months in a Row
According to the Ministry of Finance's customs statistics, Japan's scallop exports in August decreased by 30% for frozen scallop adductors, falling below last year's level for the second consecutive month. The U.S., EU, Taiwan, and Hong Kong also slowed down. Prepared products increased by 5.5 times and were strong in China and Southeast Asia.
