Environmental Groups Urge Court to Strike Down Army Corp’s Greenlighting of Ocean Fish Farms
Early last week, the Center for Food Safety file arguments to revoke the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' approval of nationwide permit 56, which allows industrial finfish aquaculture structures in ocean waters across the country.
CFS was joined by several conservation, tribal and fishing organizations, all arguing that ocean fish farming poses risks to marine environment, fishing economies, and indigenous communities.
