FFAW-Unifor Ghost Gear Removal Project Begins in Bay St. George
A two-year project led by FFAW-Unifor aimed at retrieving lost fishing gear around Newfoundland and Labrador began last week. The project is part of a nationwide mission to remove ghost gear from Canadian waters.
Gear including rope, buoys and lobster pots have already been retrieved from Bay St. George, according to FFAW.
