FDA Seafood Refusals Climb 22% in October

After a September lull FDA seafood refusals ticked up again in October. Total rejections remain well above last year’s figures as the FDA continues to reject more shipments for filth.
October refusals reached 142 line items in October, the monthly figure was up 22 percent from September and 27 from last year.
Rejections for the year now total stand at 1,682 line items, which is up 20 percent from last year. The FDA is averaging 168 refusals per month in 2016...
