Leonard’s Wharf Project in New Bedford Will Add Space for Offshore Wind, Fishing Vessels

Work is progressing on the $44 million Leonard’s Wharf reconstruction and extension project on the central waterfront to provide port access for offshore wind and berthing space for commercial fishing vessels.
Work began in May and is expected to be completed in October 2026, said John T. Regan, New Bedford Port Authority director of Policy and External Affairs.
