Could a Weird-Looking Patty Save the Lobster Industry

A fleet of lobster boats in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland have been carrying a strange-looking new bait, a patty with a secret recipe.
Normally, lobster fishermen put herring or mackerel, favourite foods of the lobster, in mesh pouches that are put in the parlour, an inner compartment of the pots that sit on the ocean floor. The critters then crawl in to munch on the small forage fish, become trapped and are hauled up, eventually landing on dinner plates around the world...
