ISA Suspected at Salmar Site in Norway
Infectious salmon anemia (ISA) has been suspected at a fish farming site operated by Salmar in the Heim municipality, Trøndelag, Norway, according to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet).
Salmar and Norsk Sjømat farm salmon at the impacted site, sea location 10224 Korsneset. The impacted sites will be culled, per Mattilsynet.
Salmar notified the Authority on July 5 of findings compatible with an ISA suspicion after analysis of samples from fish from the Korsneset location.
