Local Dungeness Crab for Thanksgiving in California? Not This Year
Crabbers hoped for a traditional Nov. 15 start date for the Central California Dungeness season but the state and fishermen urged caution due to the presence of whales in the area. On Tuesday, California Department of Fish and Wildlife Director Charlton H. Bonham agreed, delaying the season until Dec. 1 at the earliest.
