Tesco Reportedly Cutting Fish Counter Jobs at Certain Locations
Fish counters are reportedly in danger of being eliminated at certain Tesco locations.
News broke over the weekend that the British grocery chain was planning to cut between 9,000 and 15,000 jobs. Positions that are threatened include fish, meat and deli counter workers at a reported 90 stores. According to the UK’s Mirror, Tesco has 732 stores with a typical shop having five fish mongers, five butchers, and six deli and cheese counter workers.
