There’s been a steady stream of good news regarding Klamath River Chinook salmon: Since four dams were removed last year, fish have been seen at greater distances from the ocean, in tributaries not accessible for more than a century.
Earlier this month, spring-run Chinook were documented above the Upper Klamath Lake threshold.
