Murry Park named new president of Trans-Ocean as Yasuaki Kawakita heads Maruha's Hokkaido branch

Maruha-Nichiro announced that Murry Park, former Westward general manager, will be the new president of Trans-Ocean. Trans-Ocean is one of the largest surimi producers in the US. Maruha-Nichiro operates three surimi block plants in Alaska, two floating processors, and a surimi seafood processing facility in Bellingham, Wa.
Park will seek to continue to build the company’s position in the retail surimi seafood category and also to expand Trans-Ocean’s smoked salmon and shrimp product lines.
