Texas Restaurants Still Passing Off Imported Shrimp as Gulf-caught: Study

Despite a looming new law that penalizes restaurants for passing off imported shrimp as Gulf-caught, a recent study found that plenty along the Texas coast still do so.
According to a SeaD Consulting study conducted between July 23 and 28 and published Aug. 7, only 19 of 44 restaurants in Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, and the Rockport/Fulton area served legitimate Gulf shrimp.
