Russian State Plans to Provide Additional Support for Domestic Fishermen This Year
The Russian government is planning active support of domestic fishermen this year in a move to compensate their losses associated with the closure of the majority of Western sale markets for them.
This has been recently confirmed by Ilya Shestakov, head of the Russian Federal Agency of Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo). As Shestakov said in an interview with the Russian Vedomosti business paper, as part of these plans a particular attention will be paid for subsidization of export supplies.
