Two Alaska CDQ Groups Take Issue With New Board of Fish Member Over Chinook Bycatch
Two community development quota (CDQ) groups from Western Alaska called out the newest member of Alaska’s Board of Fisheries for what they call a “misinformed” view of CDQ groups and their involvement in fisheries management. The op-ed appeared in yesterday’s Anchorage Daily News and was written by Robin Samuelsen, chairman of Bristol Bay Economic Development Corporation (BBEDC) and Ragnar Alstrom, executive director of Yukon Delta Fisheries Development Association (YDFDA).
