As EPA Moves to Block Pebble Mine, Supporters and Opponents Discuss Details
Late last week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the release of a Proposed Determination to essentially “veto” development of Pebble Mine — a vast deposit of copper and gold at the headwaters of Bristol Bay — because of the risk to world’s largest wild salmon run.
