SalmonChile Says Yesterday's Report on Lower Salmon Volumes Exacerbated Decline in Atlantic Harvest

Yesterday in a report from our Latin American affiliate Chilean fishery authorities with Subpesca reported a sharp decline in the country's overall seafood harvest that was driven by a 34 percent decline in Atlantic salmon through May. However, according to Chilean Salmon Industry Association SalmonChile, those figures were off and the decline in the Atlantic salmon harvest is actually down 3.5 percent and is not the driving factor in the overall fall in Chile's harvest volumes.
