Major EU Shrimp Distributor Heiploeg Buys Assests to Dutch-Based Lenger Seafoods' Shrimp Division

Major European shrimp distributor Heiploeg has struck a deal to acquire the shrimp operations from Dutch-based seafood distributor Lenger Seafoods.
Financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed but the deal will see a bulk of shrimp processing between the joint operations move from Yerseke to Groningen. Both are cities in the Netherlands.
According to Lenger Seafoods it will focus more on its other seafood processing and selling channels that distribute products to markets in the Netherlands and the UK. The company said it will also continue to invest in razor fishing in the North Sea and shellfish aquaculture in Vietnam...
