Wuhan becoming a hub for transport of Norwegian salmon, with Air France shipping 22,000 lbs per week

22,000 lbs of Norwegian salmon are flown to Wuhan every week and the local consumers can enjoy the fresh salmon which just left their place of origin six days ago.
“Every week about ten tons of Norwegian salmon are transported to the markets in the South China from Wuhan. And these salmon represent about a half of all the salmon available in Wuhan”, said some staff from Hubei Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
Norwegian salmon have been transported to Wuhan by Air France on a weekly basis for the past three years, according to the head of the bureau’s office at the airport. It takes the salmon four days to arrive at Wuhan from Norway and another one to two days for the salmon’s sampling and inspection.
This means that the consumers in Wuhan can enjoy the fresh Norwegian salmon within six days after the salmon have been harvested....
