Northern Chile Jack Mackerel Fishery Faces Setback as Catches Fall Below Legal Size
Chile’s Undersecretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Subpesca) says it is closely monitoring a new challenge affecting the jack mackerel fishery in the northern regions of Atacama and, to a lesser extent, Coquimbo, after both artisanal and industrial fleets reported a high presence of fish that are undersized.
