Trump Looms as Fear Creeps Into Canada-US Lobster Industry

Donald Trump’s threat on the weekend to tariff Canadian goods 100 per cent if his northern neighbour signs a free trade deal with China was probably as welcome to the local lobster industry as bilgewater.
The U.S. president’s latest broadside came just after the annual U.S.-Canada Lobster Town Meeting wrapped up in Moncton, in anger over a speech Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered about middle powers banding together against larger, stronger nations.
