Thousands of Lobster Bands are Being Found Along NS Shorelines
This Environmental Group says it's Hazardous
An environmental organization based in the Annapolis Valley says 2026 is the year of the lobster band.
Barely a month into the new year, Scotian Shores — which cleans up Nova Scotia's shorelines — has already collected thousands of the rubber bands that wrap around lobster claws to prevent injuries when handling or to prevent lobsters from damaging each other during storage.
