Two People Dead After Boat Capsizes in Waters Off Edgartown

A 77-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman died on New Year’s Day after their boat capsized off Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard, according to authorities and published reports.
In a statement, Cape and Islands District Attorney Robert J. Galibois’s office said the vessel capsized shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday about a half-mile offshore.
