Instacart Scraps All Price Tests After Customer Pushback
Instacart is scrapping all price tests following customer pushback to a report that the online shopping platform was charging different prices for the same items.
The company, whose parent company is Maplebear, said Monday that effective immediately, retailers will no longer be able to use Eversight technology to run item price tests on its platform.
The change comes in response to customer feedback after a report earlier this month from Consumer Reports, think tank Groundwork Collaborative and media outlet More Perfect Union said the San Francisco grocery-delivery company displayed several different prices for users who added the same item from the same store at the same time...
