Seafood Workers Sue Plant, Claiming Extortion

A lawsuit filed in federal District Court alleges that workers at a New Bedford seafood processing plant were forced to pay $100 a week to a plant manager to keep their jobs.
It also alleges that employees living in Rhode Island contracted through an employment agency were required to pay $60 per week for transportation to the plant.
