The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and several agricultural associations called on the Ministry of Finance to review the 2024 VAT Law, citing that current rules on tax rates and refunds are slowing production and exports, local media reported.
The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers said seafood firms face overlapping VAT rules, with similar unprocessed products taxed differently, leading to refund delays that strain cash flow.
