Indonesia Suspends Lobster Farming Deal With Vietnam Over Smuggling

The Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry has suspended its lobster farming partnership with Vietnam, citing persistent smuggling of lobster larvae (BBL) despite an existing agreement between the two countries.
"At the moment, the government is halting lobster farming outside Indonesian territory because the results of our evaluation have yet to meet expectations," the ministry's Aquaculture Director General TB Haeru Rahayu said on Thursday, as quoted by CNBC Indonesia.
