On a hot, humid Tuesday afternoon, Duey Pelas was finishing his work day at the Venice Boat Harbor.
Pelas has spent more than 40 years making a living on his boat. He’s a shrimper from south Plaquemines Parish. It’s a job he says fewer people want to have nowadays.
