Fish and Game Calling for ‘Strong' Bristol Bay Run
Over 1,500 commercial fishing vessels are registered to fish for sockeye salmon in Bristol Bay for the 2025 season. Many are home based in Kodiak, and make the long trek every year to the fishing grounds in their 32-foot boats. The winding path down the Alaska Peninsula, through False Pass and across the Bering Sea is a good 800 nautical miles.
