Trident Seafoods Will Sell Four Alaska Plants and Trim 10% of Workforce in New Company Plan
Trident Seafoods announced yesterday it will be selling four shore based processing plants in Alaska — Kodiak, Ketchikan, Petersburg, and False Pass — while focusing their efforts in Southeast Alaska and Area M, the waters off the Alaska Peninsula, including the Bering Sea and western Gulf of Alaska.
The streamlining moves, which include downsizing its support functions in Seattle by 10%, position the company to fund the reinvestments necessary to continue to lead in the Alaska seafood industry.
