DelBene, Newhouse Introduce Bill to Bring Tax Relief to PNW Seafood Industry
Last week Washington state’s Congressional Representatives Suzan DelBene and Dan Newhouse introduced bipartisan legislation to reverse a 2017 Republican tax law that hurt at-sea processors and remote shore based processors. The bill, called The Remote Seafood Employee Meals Tax Parity Act, would ensure tax fairness for meals provided to workers as part of their employment in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
