Russian Fishermen Oppose Possible Ban on Fish Imports From Faroe Islands
Leading Russian fishermen have called on the state not to ban imports of herring and mackerel from the Faroe Islands, as, according to them, this could lead to an increase of prices in the domestic market.
At the end of October 2023, Rosrybolovstvo proposed the Russian government introduce a ban on the import of fish products from the Faroe Islands. The measure should be a response “to protective actions against Russian fishing enterprises.”
