Japan Records 12 Boarding Inspections, 4 On-Site Inspections and 1 Arrest on Foreign Fishing Vessels
On February 28, the Fisheries Agency of Japan announced the crackdown on foreign fishing vessels in 2022. The number of boarding inspections in the North Pacific high seas increased to 12 (3 in the previous year), and the number of on-site inspections increased to 4 (2 in the previous year) and one arrest (none in the previous year).
