GFI Survey Revealed Japanese Consumers Do Not Feel Affinity for Alternative Seafood
The Good Food Institute (GFI), an international non-governmental organization (NGO) that promotes the spread of alternative proteins, conducted two surveys in 2020 and 2022, targeting consumers in five countries, including the United States and Japan, on alternative seafood. Based on the results, GFI concludes that "alternative seafood has great potential to meet global seafood demand if it can appeal to the taste and wallet of consumers," Minato Shimbun reported.
