Judge Approves $85 Million Settlement in Norwegian Salmon Price-Fixing Lawsuit

U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga put a stamp of approval on an $85 million settlement that marks an end to a class-action lawsuit that claimed multiple Norwegian salmon farmers fixed prices.
As SeafoodNews reported when the settlement was first proposed in May, defendants Mowi, Grieg Seafood, Lerøy Seafood, SalMar and Cermaq pay the sum to the “Direct Purchaser Plaintiffs” involved in the class which include Euclid Fish, Euro USA Inc., Schneider’s Fish and Sea Food Corporation and The Fishing Line LLC...
