Pacific Seafood Westport’s Water Quality Fine Reduced by $30,750
In April SeafoodNews reported that Pacific Seafood had been fined $123,000 for water quality violations in Gray Harbor. A settlement agreement was reached late last month, reducing Pacific Seafood’s fine by $30,750.
As initially reported, Pacific Seafood’s processing facility discharges wastewater into Half Moon Bay in Grays Harbor through an outfall it shares with the City of Westport Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant.
