Over 23 Seasonal Grid Closures In Place With 73% of Gulf Snow Crab Landed

A little more than a month remains until the end of the snow crab season in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. According to preliminary data released by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), 73.04% of the quota in the Gulf has been landed. But with North Atlantic right whales in the area, the DFO has started closing grids from the season.
