Chinese Customs Catch Seafood Smuggling Suspects in February
On February 21, Zhanjiang customs of China cracked down on four smuggling gangs of frozen seafood, according to a report from XinhuaNet. And they have illegally brought into China such seafood as octopus and hairtails through measures like falsifying seafood sizes, places of origin and prices.
The customs officials have seized 18 suspects in Beijing, Fujian, Guangdong and Shandong, and they have recovered 183.7-thousand-ton frozen seafood in total. The case value is said to reach about 2.46 billion yuan, and...
