Unalaska Sees Hurricane-level Winds in Last Week’s Storm
Last Thursday night sustained hurricane-level winds slammed the Aleutian Islands tossing vehicles off the road and vessels from their moorings in what is now the first major storm of the fall/winter season.
In Unalaska wind gusts of up to 132 mph were recorded by the National Weather Service.
