Thai Union Adds to Cell-Cultivated Portfolio With Aleph Farms Investment
Thai Union announced its investment in Israel-based cell-cultivated meat producer Aleph Farms. The seafood giant will be one of several financial partners to invest in Aleph’s $105 million Series B funding round.
Aleph Farms grows beef steaks directly from healthy cells sampled from living cows. The production method is viewed as a more sustainable option for meat-eaters. The company plans to launch to market in 2022.
