Mexican Seafood Ban in U.S. Expanded in Effort to Save Vaquita Porpoise From Extinction
Earlier this week the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) announced that they would be expanding their ban on Mexican seafood in an effort to save the vaquita porpoise. The International Committee for the Recovery of the Vaquita estimates that there are between six and 22 vaquita remaining in the world, with many speculating that no more than 10 remain.
