Government Urging Fishermen to Remove Gear from non-UK Waters with Brexit Looming
Fishermen who have deployed static gear outside of United Kingdom waters were urged to remove it before a potential no-deal Brexit, on October 31.
After Brexit, UK will become an independent coastal state and fishermen will not have an automatic right to fish in EU waters, or the waters of other nations. The UK announced an agreement to fish in Norwegian waters until the end of the calendar year, but access to fish in other waters is still up for negotiation...
