Sea Lice Costing Norway's Salmon Sector Over $560 Million a Year
According to research institute Nofima, sea lice is costing Norway's salmon sector over $560 million USD, or 5 billion kroner, a year.
Companies are using different treatments to reduce sea lice, which comes with additional costs. This has been reflected in a couple of recent earnings calls.
Mowi revealed earlier this week that sea lice levels at their Norway sites are beginning to increase.
