Louisiana Department of Health to Begin Enforcing Shrimp, Crawfish Labeling at Restaurants Beginning September 1
Beginning September 1, Louisiana's health department will begin enforcing a new law that requires restaurants to inform their customers if they are selling imported shrimp or crawfish.
As SeafoodNews reported back in May, House Bill 335, which requires restaurants to disclose whether they serve imported shrimp or crawfish, passed with the Louisiana House and Senate's unanimous support.
