A Near-Record 64 Gray Whales Stranded on West Coast and Alaska Beaches This Year
News reports from southern California to Alaska have reported unusually high beachings of gray whales during their northward migrations, many noting that the whales are showing up “skinny, malnourished or even emaciated”, according to a Northwest News Network story from last Friday.
